With the wedding fair season in full flow, there are countless fairs you can attend every weekend this spring!
There is no doubt, if you are planning a wedding, that a wedding fair is a great place to start, it gives you the chance to see loads of suppliers in one place, making it easy to work out which ones you can connect with to make your wedding day extra special.
It also gives you the chance to see the venue dressed up and can give you some fantastic ideas to use.

This spring Vanilla Spice Cake Company will be at the following wedding fairs, along with delicious tasters and takeaway goody bags:

Herons Farm, Buckhold, Pangbourne - Saturday 4th March - 10am - 6pm
Ufton Court, Ufton Nervet, Reading - Sunday 2nd April - 11am - 3pm

You're newly engaged and have found your perfect venue, next job is all the fun bits that need to be sorted, your photographer, florist, dress and cake!

Searching the internet for ideas can sometimes leave you more confused than before you started! - Websites like Pinterest and google searches can give you so many ideas, if you have an idea of what you want, but if you are just starting out then so many options can boggle your mind!

The best place to start is at a wedding fayre, ideally at the venue you are getting married in, but if they aren't holding one, then another local venue is a great starting point.

With a bit of luck you should get to meet 3 or 4 suppliers for your cake at any one fair, so you can compare the flavours, styles and of course prices of each of the suppliers to help you find the right one for your wedding day.

The wedding cake suppliers will generally have half a dozen or more example cakes for you to look at as well as portfolio books and mouthwatering samples for you to taste.

Only, don't leave it too long - the best suppliers can be fully booked a year in advance so check your dates out with them as soon as you can, especially if you are getting married in the Spring/Summer months.

Vanilla Spice Cake Company will be exhibiting at the following wedding fayres this Spring:

Herons Farm, Pangbourne - Saturday 4th March 10am - 6pm

Ufton Court, Ufton Nervet - Sunday 2nd April 11am - 3pm

2016 has come storming into the Vanilla Spice Cake Company Kitchen with great velocity with new bookings coming in thick and fast!

I have some amazing creations in my diary this year which I can't wait to get stuck into!

It looks like the popular rustic theme is continuing throughout the year with barn venues proving very popular and with such fabulous ones around West Berkshire I am not surprised! With a barn venue - usually comes a  rustic wedding cake, whether naked or rustic iced these are still hugely popular in 2016 alongside the increasing desirable cheese wedding cakes.

Metalic wedding cakes are also going to be big news in 2016 with orders in the books featuring gold, silver and rose gold.  The designs and effects achieved using these are incredible!
